1. Covered Bridge, 4534 N.W. 95 Ave. In 1964, Coral Springs developer Coral Ridge Properties built the Covered Bridge as a marketing tool to attract prospective residents to this master-planned “city in the country.” The Covered Bridge was the City’s first permanent structure and is now a Florida Heritage site. It has survived several hurricanes and structural damage by vehicles to become an endearing landmark of Coral Springs.
2. "Electra 69" Theme Home, 3203 N.W. 89 Ave. (private home - no trespassing)
3. Historic Bridle Path sign, 4230 Coral Hills Dr. Bridle path sign – These small green signs mark a historic path through Coral Springs where horses used to trot freely. The Bridle Path ran along Wiles Road from State Road 7 to Coral Ridge Drive, with a detour across the Covered Bridge. Horses hearken back to the City in the Country feel of Coral Springs, a place where the Coral Springs Saddle Club hosted monthly shows and residents were encourage to build barns in backyards.
4. Museum of Coral Springs History, 10000 N.W. 29 St. This is the first structure built by Coral Ridge Properties in 1964. It was located at the corner of State Road 7 and Wiles Road, then the only entry into the City. The one room real estate sales office was donated to the City, and was later used as City Hall, the first police station and a fire department training center when it was accidentally set on fire. It was rescued and moved to Mullins Park in 1977 and is now the Museum of Coral Springs History. It is also a Florida Heritage Site.
